Well, it's been a successful first year for Midwest Craft Connection! Our first year of networking has proven that lots of great connections could be made.

As we continue growing larger and gain more new members. I want to remind you that we are just beginning the peak time for Spring Craft Shows and marketing your items. If you know of any upcoming craft shows anywhere in the United States, please let us know so we can make the shows even more successful for you by giving you the free advertising to draw in bigger crowds.

We've seen many changes over the last year, I want to mention a few of them briefly because they will work to your advantage, if you let them. We now have:

More crafters and a great selection of quality products - I am impressed with the quality that YOU vendors have shown with your products! I have been getting a great deal of positive input regarding how wonderful Midwest Craft Connection is! This is a fantastic group and you all deserve that credit!

A forum for networking with others - This is very important to get your information out there so others know of the products you have to offer! Get on the forum and start chatting with other members - you will be surprised at how much fun and business can be intermingled!

A product review section - This has been a HUGE success with making individual products stand out. It is probably one of our more popular sections on the website and can be the biggest source of advertising for your items. Not a day goes by that we don't see people visiting these pages.

Inexpensive Banner Advertising - With our increase in traffic, we are able to offer one of the cheapest forms of internet advertising available. If you want to advertise your products on a specific page, we will be happy to create a banner ad for your business and place it where you want it. For example, you could place your business on the Iowa Craft Show page, or wherever you want it. This inexpensive advertising is just $60.00 per YEAR for a LARGE banner ad, or just $42.00 per YEAR for a smaller banner ad. Considering that we have many unique visitors that come to our website naturally (organically), this is *the* best traffic that you could hope for because it is targeted specifically to people looking for crafts.

We, also, have started highlighting the individual craft shows to give advertisers a more detailed description of each craft event. This has come about due to increased requests for more detailed information. This is just $10.00 per event and (considering the traffic) is a really great deal for any event!

A Library - This is growing and will become an even larger resource for any kind of craft information available. If you want to help supply us with original information for this section, it will give visitors one more way of finding your products on the website because we will give you free advertising with another link back to your products. We are currently taking videos and articles on how to market your craft business during craft events or anything on how to make crafts. The more you add, the greater benefit you receive!

This is YOUR group so if you would like to see some other changes, please let me know and I'll be happy to see what can be done to implement them. It is only with new input that growth can continue to happen!
