Windy Ridge Handcrafted is a small business, located in Northeast Iowa, that makes all-natural bath and body products. The owner, Angela Scanlan, gave me a 'Lavender and Rosemary Shampoo and Body Bar' to try. I had heard so many good things about her products - it was nice to see for myself.

I have to say, first off, I am impressed with the overall presentation of the body bar. It looks very professional and would be good for giving as a gift - especially if you customized the bars to the recipient's preferred natural oils and frangrances. If you go to the Windy Ridge Handcrafted website, you will see that you have a huge variety of oils and fragrances to choose from. I am amazed at how many choices that are actually available! If I remember right, Angela told me that she can put a customized note in with the products, too, if you want to send something to someone as a gift.

The size of the body bar is about average for a bar of soap - it is just over 2 3/4" long x 2" wide x 1" thick. My favorite thing about this body bar is that it is 100% all-natural. If you are sensitive or have allergic reactions to chemicals, you will appreciate this product. I always buy all-natural, whenever possible, so this is a big plus for me!

The body bar has a fresh, clean and crisp smell of lavender and rosemary but it's not overwhelming, as sometimes fragrances can be. It actually reminds me of something from my childhood (many years ago - lol).

As I washed my hands with the body bar, it almost felt like I was using really really soft water. We do have a water softener, but it seemed much much softer than normal. It, also, didn't seem to 'bubble up' like most soaps do.

After I rinsed it all off my hands, I found that it left my skin feeling clean and fresh without any oily residue. I was told that you could use this on your hair, too. I don't know if I will try it on my hair but I would recommend it as a body bar. It is very refreshing! Thank you, Angela, for letting me sample your product.
